Arran whisky fans will be pleased to hear that this year the expected autumn release of the 5th edition of the peaty Arran Machrie Moor will be accompanied by the first edition of Arran Machrie Moor Cask Strength.
The fifth edition of Machrie Moor 46% ABV will be released worldwide, alongside the first edition of the new cask strength edition which has been bottled at 58.4% ABV.
Machrie Moor 5th Edition has an RRP of £41.99 and Machrie Moor Cask Strength Edition has an RRP of £49.99. Both of the new whiskies will be available from The Whisky Exchange

| The Arran Machrie Moor was ok but i wasnt impressed enough to buy a 2nd bottle but the exta ABV of the new cask strength edition could make it worth try. I guess it will be around for a while so i will wait to read some reviews as there are some more than ok whiskies to be had at £50 a go. |

| Archer I was a little underwhelmed by the Machrie Moor also, but as you say the extra ABV could make it a different whisky, I will be looking out for reviews also before taking the plunge at £50 a bottle. |

HI James. The only one available here is the Isle of Arran Machrie Moor Single Malt Scotch,
46%abv at $85 Canadian. I have not tried it. I don't know if the cask strength one mentioned may make it here.I do have an unopened bottle of Isle of Arran "Sleeping Warrior" 54.9% abv which I'm hoping will be good at cask strength..

According to Williams write up on the latest edition of Machrie Moor and the new cask strength edition they go on sale here in the UK on October 6th so it may be a while before it reaches your shores Murray, it look like it will be an ongoing annual release. |
