Hi, has anyone seen the new single cask releases by Glenfiddich, with bespoke packaging and design of the label.
The prices range from £390- £100,000
I think the idea is great with the lower priced bottles.
If you look at one of the 1992 releases being £430 and the WhiskyShop release being £1200, I can see dust gathering on the WhiskyShop bottles.

Bookie the cheapest i can see is £390 for a Glenfiddich 1996 refill cask it says only 30 bottles of this unique batch will ever be released at this age, not quite sure what that means, will they release more and call it batch 2
The price goes up to £100,000 for a Glenfiddich 1958 56 year old sherry butt of which there are only 3 bottles. |

Is Glenfiddich the new Dalmore
I hope not. I would say if you have any Glenfiddich vintage bottles in the cupboard the launch of this Glenfiddich Rare Collection may increase the value of your bottle considerably. |

I had a "discussion" with the manager of the Manchester branch about the prices. He claimed they were reasonable, and often under RRP. I told him I wouldn't buy there and many others felt the same. A'Bunadh £60, Arran 10 £46 etc, is not cheap I pointed out. Shame really as they have a good range. Saying that I was there last month collecting a Bowmore Devils Cask batch 2 which was £58! |
