Just noticed this one is available at an LCBO "around the corner" from my home. This is the 2nd release which I believe is highly rated as opposed to the first release which according to Jim Murray had a poor cask. He rates the 2nd release at 94.5

Douglas Laing Double Barrel Talisker & Craigellachie Blended Malt Scotch Whisky
2nd Release 46%abv

Anybody try it? Comments

This wrung a bell with me so i looked it up in my Whisky Bible, Jim Murray put me off the first release with a score of 73, normally i wouldnt be put off by a score but that is a very low score, tastes vary but a poor whisky is a poor whisky to all palates.

But his score for the 2nd release points at a very good whisky, i doubt it will still be available here though. given Jims 94.5 points for the 2nd release i would be confident it is a good one.

With a score like that and if it is a decent price then i would say go for it Murray. Anything with Talisker in it would appeal to me, i am not so familiar with Craigellachie.
