has anyone experienced difficulties with the shop one wonders.
i ordered a bottle of lagavulin on the 22 nd of october, the money was taken out of my account and yet still no bottle has been sent. i have contacted them numerous times, last time this morning,to be told its not in stock and they dont know when it will be. i dont think this is correct as the website advertised that the whisky was for sale on the 22 october. they have now had the benefit of my money for some time now. how many others money do they have without having the product to sell in the first place. bad practise in my opinion. |

I have rarely ordered from them as they dont tend to compete on price but when i have done i have had no problem but it has been some time since i used them.
I thought there was some rules or code of practice about online shopping, where they shouldnt take the money until they have supplied the goods and the goods are only considered as being supplied when dispatched. Looks like the Whisky Shop system is flawed and it took an order for stock which it didnt have but worst of all they didnt refund you and apologise, you had to chase them. |

I'm sure I can remember someone on twitter complaining about a preorder going wrong earlier in the year, so possibly not new to them.
I have access to a w card which would have made this bottle at the time £72 delivered. Nearly went for it, glad I didn't.
If it is really causing you greif cancel it and buy else where. _________________ Putting the func in dysfunctional. |

| They've always been good on delivery or that click and collect is handy. Probably a case of getting your pre-order cash and then waiting for Diageo. |

It is a shame, although after calling in my local whisky shop I have lost St all faith in them, I doubt I'll be buying much from them any more, now that's a shame |

I think there is a bit of supply issue at the moment, I know ow TWE have bottles but MoM are still waiting for theirs, as is my local man.
Did you call them or just mail them? No offence but if you didn't call them then you've not made every effort to chase the order up.....I'm not say that you should have to and it is bad customer services, but if they are inundated with mails (I've had weeks delay on a request to them so I guess they are) then relying on email ain't the best plan. Email is asynchronous mate, no guarantee its been picked up. It happens to me at work all the time and drives me mad that people think because they send a mail to you they have told you something, just because it's in my inbox do the mean it's being dealt with

How about everybody gets a free dram "on the house" from them as a result! _________________ "Always carry a large flagon of whisky in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake."

| bit more on the whisky shop, i received an email from them requesting my email address and phone number.i gave both to them and eventually got a call from the managing director,at least i assume he was. he apologised and said he would make sure my money would be refunded. it was,he also said that once the item was in stock he would make sure one would be delivered to me. this was in november,as yet no bottle has been dispatched. needless to say i am a wee bit disappointed. |

i got my bottle this morning. i have to say that after a few hiccups the whisky shop behaviour has been fantastic and i am grateful for that. |
