Shop prices include 20% vat and the shop mark up, whisky tends to sell for much less at auction or in a private sale, often half the price you will see the whisky selling for in a whisky shop.
The Glenmorangie PX Sonnalta sells for around £160 to £190 at auction at the moment then you would have your auction costs to take off plus the cost of getting the whisky to the auction. I would say a more realistic price would be half of what you are asking. By the way i am not interested in this myself so i am not trying to knock the price down. |

oh yes i understand, and thank you for letting me know. i dont know anything about these auctions, never took part in one. i was trying to find one but could not.
