Benromach today announced the addition of the Benromach 15 year old to their core range of classic Speyside whiskies.

The folks at Benromach tell me that the new 15 year old has a distinctive golden amber colour and a soft smokiness thanks to long maturation in sherry and bourbon casks. They say it tastes of luscious sherry and rich fruitcake with stewed plums and a hint of cocoa.

Bottled at 43% ABV the new Benromach 15 year old has an RRP of £48.99 (prices may vary in export markets because of duty and import taxes). It will be available from whisky specialist shops such as The Whisky Exchange

This is great news, it will probably become a regular whisky for me just like the 10 year-old is.

I think it has been around a while now, but yes good on them for revealing what is in the bottle. I am becoming a big fan of the Benromach brand.
