I have found discrepancies in the characteristics of the Wishart clusters as stated in various sources.

Some attributes as listed on pages 40/41 of his own book differ in places like pages 56 - 58 of The Instant Expert's Guide to Single Malt Scotch - and widely on websites.

Significantly, other sources online and in malt-by-malt guides seem to have adopted the latter's (mistaken/inaccurate?) cluster characteristics: e.g. Wishart has F as sweet, no peat; Erskine (and followers) has/have F as Medium sweet, low peat.

Does anyone know of a definitive table of these, please?

TIA!

The copy of David Wisharts book Whisky Classified which i have is identical to what is listed here for each classification A - J of single malts

http://www.scotchmaltwhisky.co.uk/similar-tasting-notes.htm

My book is a few years old now, it was printed in 2002, there have been updated versions of the book so perhaps the classifications was changed slightly or refined in more recent prints of the book.
