What's your verdict on this one? Jim Murray only rates it as 80 and raises the sulphur card here. Have others noticed sulphur taint? It's not available here in Ontario but is on offer elsewhere and I will be in that vicinity. Looking for opinions?

I thought it was pretty good, perhaps my sulphur dtector isnt as good as Mr Murrays but i didnt get any off notes, it is always possible for sulphur to be in one batch and not the next.

I couldnt fault the HP Dark Origin, i would be happy to recommend it although a little expensive for a no age statement.

Hi Mark. It's about 65 British pounds in the UK and $100. or 52 pounds equiv. in Canada, less than in UK for a change plus the bottle is 75cl instead of the UK 70cl.
Seems a right bargain.
Very Happy

Murray I first tasted it last year and added my thoughts here:

www.scotchmaltwhisky.co.uk/highlandparkdarkorigins.htm

I currently have a bottle in the cupboard, personally i didnt get any off sulphur notes in either the botlle i had last year or the current bottle i have which was purchased only a few weeks ago or the sample i had when it was launched. Not the greatest Highland Park you will ever have and certainly one for those with a taste for the sherried drams but certainly worth £52/CN $100

Thanks William. Sounds like a reasonable dram especially with the extra 5cl in the offering here in Canada. It's not available at the LCBO but is available at the price I indicated in Montreal at the SAQ.

I would give it a vote for worth trying at least once, Williams review pretty much sums it up.
