As many already know, there is a shortage of Glendronach 21 - Parliament right now. There should be more bottles in the market available again in the autumn, with significantly higher price tag.

I've already stock up on my favorite day-to-day sherried malt - just want to share my observations.

Anyone knows more about Glendronach 21 shortage - are they are running out of older casks or just want to (artificially) raise the price?

Well they stopped production in 1995 for some time so they will have been using older whisky in the 18yo as it's all they had, which means older stocks will have to be used for more than 1 expression so this could lead to running out.

I had noticed that it is rather difficult to get hold of the 21 year old, i havent heard anything but just assumed it was to do with stock levels and the fact Glendronach was mothballed between 1995 and 2002.

It wouldnt surprise me if it appears back on shelves with a new price aligned with the likes of the Balvenie 21, Glenlivet 21and Glenfiddich 21.

Back in stock at the Green Welly Shop and I think it is still available at LFW at £68, which has to be great value

I bought this from the Stirling whisky shop last week, for £72, no postage as I live near the shop.
