|
|
The Kilchoman distillery which is now in its 10th anniversary year (how time fly's) have released their first new bottling of the year the limited edition Kilchoman Loch Gorm 2015.
The 2015 version differs from the previous year expression as they used of sherry hogsheads to mature a portion of the whisky rather than just sherry butts. This edition will also be marginally older than the five year old 2014 version, it being bottled from casks filled in both 2009 and 2010.
It was bottled at 46% ABV Non Chill Filtered, no added colouring and will be available from whisky specialist shops such as The Whisky Exchange with an RRP of £63.00.
Some more info and my tasting note on an earlier expression here:

I had a bottle of the Loch Gorm 2013 and it was excellent so i will certainly have a bottle of this.
I wonder if we will see a Kilchoman 10 year old anniversary bottling this year. |

| The Kilchoman website says they will be celebrating there 10th anniversary during the Feis Ile in May, so if there is a special bottle i would guess it will be launched then. There site says tickets for the the Feis Ile will go on sale on Monday 30th March at 9am and are available over the phone only, on a first come first served basis. |

Anyone know when this goes out for wider release? Seems to have been at the distillery shop only and not online anywhere else yet. _________________ "Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whisky is barely enough." |
