I have a few unopened bottles of Glenlivet from before Seagram's bought the distillery in 1977 - genuine "Originals" - I and was wondering if anyone can give me any idea what they could be (are) worth now?
These are in the square boxes with corks and the bottles are wrapped in waxed paper.
Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks and regards

Have you anymore info on the bottle, does it have an age statement, what does it say exactly on the label, a pic would be handy to identify it and give advice.
A Glenlivet 12 year old 1970's bottling looked like this:
If this is what it is like then specialist whisky shops try to sell it for £200 but in a auction or private sale you would probably be looking at half that amount. |

Yes Bookie, that is exactly what the labels and bottles look like - thanks heaps for the info - I'll probably hang on for a while, these bottles are quite safe and under no imminent threat of being drunk - there is an open bottle which is savoured very occasionally.
Cheers and Regards
