Hi folks,
A heads up for you peat lovers, I picked a bottle of this up the other day and it's a fantastic dram. Doesn't give much away on details of the blend but I'm getting Ardbeg and Bunna notes. I may be way off but I had this up against my laga 16 last night and I preferred the aldi offering! I also had it up against Black Bottle which I thought would be a good comparison and it won hands down on nose and finish- the peat in here is really up there with some bruichladdich numbers.
Definitely worth grabbing a bottle at £18.99 I'm mightily impressed. |

Very interesting remarks The WM. It must be outstanding. I wish the LCBO carried it. I would have given it a go. _________________ "Always carry a large flagon of whisky in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake."

I looked at this last week and wondered just how much peat you would get for £18.99. The note on the box certainly implied a good portion of peat will be in the bottle. I think i may go back and pick up a bottle.
The rest of Aldi's Glenmarnock range is quite tempting also. |

| Seems to have gone down well. Been enjoying my bottle of this. Nicely priced and does the job. |
