DIMPLE - 70% Proof - 3 Pint Decanter

I would appreciate some help on a valuation and how to sell the following items.

I have TWO Dimple bottles with the carrying handle. They contain (Seal unbroken) 3 pints 3 fl oz ( US Half Gallon / 1.89 Litres) of 70% proof Old Blended Scotch Whiskey.

They are both boxed and are at least 25 years old as they were obtained when my father in law had a pub. Their exact age is unkown as there doesn't appear to be any age markings on the box or bottle.

Can anyone help....pictures of the box and bottles can be sent.

You dont say what type of decanter is it a Pewter decanter or Ceramic?

Anyway I would recommend having a look in The Whisky Exchange

On there site just click on search and enter Dimple. This will give you a few differnet bottlings. If your are lucky they may have a bottle similar to the ones you have. The Whisky Exchange also buy bottles so they may be worth contacting.

I suspect the bottles you have are from the 1980's but if you are lucky they may be from the 1960's, either way they should be worth a few pound.

Once you get a price and if you still want to sell them feel free to advertise them for sale on the forum but dont forget to register as a forum member so potential buyers can contact you through the forum.

Just came across this large bottle that I posted a comment on this forum in 2006!! Still didn't sell it, but open to offers.

It is a 1970's 70% proof bottle - unopen with the wire around it and comes in a box, albeit the box is starting to come apart at the seams.

Open to offers - whiskey exchange has a eqv 75 cl bottle going for £90+, this is the big brother
