Wanting to go up and see the Macallan distillery and was wondering if people could recommend somewhere to stay as I'm taking the wife and the compromise is we stay somewhere 'nice'.
Any pointers would be appreciated. |

You are a bit limited with choices for hotels in this area, mainly B&*.
We stayed in The Dowans Hotel in Aberlour last September, they have a good whisky selection, the rooms and food are excellent. I am sure you can just see the distillery from one of the rooms, your wife will be impressed.
We also have stayed in the Craigellachie hotel which was just ok but that was a couple of years ago, however it has been taken over and is meant to be very nice now.
For the Speyside whisky festival we are staying in the Aberlour Hotel, not sure what this is like but we got the last room. _________________ You can't push anyone up the ladder unless he is ready to climb himself. |
