I did not participate in the auction but it seems that some of today's auction pricing is really low. Did they have problems or are we seeing lower values?
PE FI 2008 at only 2050? Most recent results are at well over 2500 and the most recent was 3300 at SWA.
Lagavulin 30 @825? again recent prices are over 1000
Glenfiddich 1963 @ only 1050?
Glenmorangie 1963 for 700? haven't gone below 900 for a long time |

More than just a few, hard to believe that this is legitimate. Some sellers really got screwed
Bowmore 30 YO ceramic 650 been around 8-900 at SWA
Lagavulin 25 for 450 vs 520 @ SWA
Young Uigeadail went for 360
Livet royal wedding 340
BLacker still 330?
These are clearly not where prices were just weeks ago. hard to tell how many more. as 10% is normal up and down |

| I couldnt get on to their site last night around 7pm, their logon kept on crashing , I was interested in some of their Rare Malts Selections ,which some went really cheap. I wouldnt be happy if I were the seller, especially with their 15% commission |

| It does look like something went wrong with the site and whisky online should take responsibility for it as it does appear that the sellers are losing out here. |

On the flip side, good for the buyers
Can't say I feel too sorry for the seller's to be honest, most of them will be selling their stuff as an investment . _________________ "Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whisky is barely enough." |

I have been looking at the values for key bottles and it will be interesting to see what happens tonight at SWA,
I agree with other comments, prices seem very low, across all the leading brands, but I have noticed over the last few auctions, Whisky on Line prices are not generally that great, good if your buying but I definitely wouldn't sell through this www site at the moment. |

I've been watching The SWA site today as the auction hasn't closed yet. Not sure what time today it ends. I've been watching just out of curiosity the lots of Bowmore The Devil's Casks Batch 2. There are no Batch 1 bottles available this auction. Previous auctions showed winning bids for Batch2 in the 110-120 British pound range. With time left in this auction, the bids for Batch 2 are in the 140-150 pound range and it's not over yet. So, at least for this Islay expression prices are up.
Also, I expect Batch 1 prices to continue to escalate over time especially with a new NAS Devil's Cask 3 coming out. _________________ "Always carry a large flagon of whisky in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake."
