| I am thinking about getting this as one of my next purchases. But before I did that I was wondering if anyone on here has tried this and if so what do you think of it? I greatly appreciate anyone's help and opinion. |

Hi,
Balvenie Rum is a great malt, the 14yo was great the 17yo is just better. I was at Balvenie in January when the then manager Richard Cotton gave me a good nip of the stuff. I told him, "I'm fine with this one go and get your own" which he did, after all I gave him a special bottle of mine!!
Conclusion: if you like a "finishing" bottling, buy it. Not cheap I hear !

Rene,
Thank you for your input I have been getting differing opinions from people. They either love it or hate it. I personally do like Whiskies with a finish on them. My favorite is Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban. So I think I may have to just bite the bullet and get it.
Thanks Again |
