Hi All,

Any one know when the versions of Royal Brackla or Deveron are going to be available from "The Last Great Malts".....?

Seen that they were supposed to be released in March, but haven't seen a thing 😔

According to what William posted here http://www.scotchmaltwhisky.co.uk/lastgreatmalts.htm the new The Deveron range is due for launch this summer and the Royal Brackla should have appeared in March. They may well be out there in some marketplace in the world but I haven't seen them here In the UK. Its the Royal Brackla I am keen to try, hopefully a decent sherried whisky.

When visiting Aberfeldy distillery they told me that at the end of the year.

Its the Royal Brackla I am looking forward to, hopefully it has a big sherried influence and is non chill filtered and has no added colouring

Well well well... Looks like both of the two missing bottling have appeared. The Deveron is pre-order for September, but all variations of Royal Brackla are sold

I see it was £50 for the Royal Brackla 12 and £90 for the Royal Brackla 16, of course that could just be The Whisky Shop pricing which is rarely the best prices

I see it's 'The Deveron' now instead of Glen Deveron - maybe not quite as catchy as 'The Glenlivet' but I'm sure they know what they're doing marketing-wise!

I see The Deveron 18 is £65, I have a bottle of the Glen Deveron 20 travel retail 1 litre bottle which I got last month at the airport for £70. As William mentions in his article, I wonder what the future holds for the Glen Deveron travel retail range which was launched not so long ago, you would think they would be selling off the travel retail range quickly to avoid consumer confusion.

I'm quite surprised that all three new released Royal Brackla (12, 16, 21yo) are 40% ABV. Probably their 21yo for £180 will not be the biggest seller in that age range.

The Spirits Business website is wrong the new Royal Brackla 12, 16 and 21 year old are indeed bottled at 40% ABV. I am trying to get hold of some and will update you with my thoughts on all 3 if I do.

IMO 40% ABV for premium malts should become thing of the past.
I'm interested in 21yo but not at £180 - but I would buy R.Brackla 30yo from Cadenhead which is on sale now for a bit less than this one.
