An interesting article dealing with this concept and whether there really is a world's finest whisky....or is that term really a misnomer.

| The biggest problem with a statement like this.. Is it is the opinion of only a few people because most of the whisky in this bracket are way out of reach of most of us mere mortals.. And that is a real shame . |

The point they make is there isnt actually a "finest" whisky in the world. It's each persons own taste. Which we all know, because we're learn'ed folk. _________________ "Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whisky is barely enough." |

Whisky bloggers are all the same; dull postings and regurgitation of press information of whiskies they have solicited for free and only give good reviews too.....isn't that right sorren
One day I'll see a negative review........One day. _________________ "Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whisky is barely enough." |

| 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡 dull... Free..... Grrrrrrrrrrerrrredddddddd I'm so offended right now.... I actually believe when !!!! I get a bad whisky I will review it honestly... ( read my review notes on hp18) not a glowing review of a whisky that is thought of as pretty good by most others.. As with some blogs and critics most of the whisky they try is free.. I am not anywhere near that stage, my views are 100% my own, and are not influenced in any way.. So pack your rod away, put the bait back in the tub.. I am not biting 😬😬 |

| Problem is in an ocean of bloggers there are very few that don't chase free samples and regurgitate the official tasting notes while not offering an opinion of some kind. Very few nowadays seem able or willing to speak their mind. |

| I agree but I think you will find the smaller bloggers are giving honest opinions, they buy their own whisky so if it is bad they have to say so.. I can't talk for the more popular blogs who openly review 90%free whisky.. But it is important to some of us to give honest opinions in order to get regular hits.. Some bloggers really don't care if any one is reading, it is just outlet to write down their thoughts.. My intention was never to have the most popular blog, I'm sure it never will be either.. If I give a hand full of people some knowledge then I'll be happy.. I'm sure a lot of people will not agree with my opinions and style of reviews but those that know me will know they are honest.. 😊👍 |

Dude,.winding you up
I actually read, and like, your blog.
And at least your don't just make up your tasting notes like some of the more (or very) famous bloggers/vloggers. _________________ "Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whisky is barely enough." |
