Another day, another tasting. This is the life.

This is my first Talisker and with relatives that live on Skye, I may have an excuse to see them, I mean to see the distillery of course when I see them, if this tasting goes well. According to WB15 this scores 93 so should be a nice whisky. I've liked the peaty ones that I have tried so far, and in fact the heavy peat have been my favourites so all bodes well.

Talisker was the first distillery I visited and the 10 sealed the deal for my journey into the whisky world. Camping. fire. Brilliant.

I love talisker, the spices do it for me with only a small tastes of peat, it seams I'm not massive on peat at the moment, enjoy your tally10 as I did.

I did like the talisker 25.. The peat flavour had subsided greatly, I do have a few distillers editions so I might have to crack one open..

If you're going to try the new NAS ones then do so before you try the distillers or 57N, if you do it the other way round they'll seem quite poor in comparison.

Mixed views on them, but I found the Storm below average and certainly not in the same league as the 10yo, let alone the higher end bottling.

The 57N is NAS, but it's an example of how to do one well.

If the Distillers Edition is Â£32 then that an absolute bargain!

Sorry my mistake. The Distillers Edition is Â£52.
