Here my own taste notes from last night's dinner and tasting for:
Ardbeg Perpetuum 49.2% abv., 50 ppm's
Neat:
Nose: Sweet peat, delicious seaweed salad, marine salt air entwined with delectable pralines and sweet smokehouse hues. Bakery in early morning aromas and flashes of "sticky lice". Spiced honey dew melon, black-ball candy, and Australian black licorice evolve with late Mediterranean spice.
Palate: Oily, peaty protuberances, fireplace memories with layers of ash and medicinal wonders which do not fail to satisfy.
Finish: Long, peat and black licorice combine with pungent smoke still billowing long after the expression first hits the lips.
Comments: This expression is an Ardbeg with quality and character. The nose is a time capsule of pure delight for the Ardbeg fan.
Rating: 93 _________________ "Always carry a large flagon of whisky in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake."

| I love this dram, an excellent expression of Ardbeg, I only wish I had bought more. |
