| Still fairly new to whisky but have drunk a fair few bottles with a little from the wife. Big fan of the peats Ardbeg,Laphroaig just had my first dram of Talisker 10 year old and loved it my favourite so far. |

If you enjoy the Talisker then I can strongly recommend the 57° North. If your prepared for some cask strength action then it's a superb Talisker. To me it's basically Talisker's CV in a bottle. All the best bits and then amplified. _________________ "Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whisky is barely enough." |

| The 10 yo is a classic, of course. More austere and demanding than Laphroaig. Less peat, more spice (pepper). |

| Good to hear! Have you tried Arbeg Uigeadail? Very lovely cask strength Ardbeg. Don't neglect non-peated whisky too though! Enjoy. |

Talisker 10 is my favourite one. Not tried any others though
It is one of the best Scotch that I've tried so far though and I'm building up a good little repertoire to compare. I would buy another one tomorrow but I'm trying not to buy the same one twice until I run out of local availability and reach my budget limit |

| I've tried the 10, the storm, and the Skye and love them all, all got great nose and love the taste, someone told me I'd find the storm completely different but I didn't to be honest, next step should be the 57 hehehe |

Talisker 10 IMHO, is quite simply, the perfect Islay. I love all of the heavily peated Islays but this one is just the right stuff! Less peat than Ardbeg 10 or Laphroaig 10 (both of which I love), but Talisker is perfect at anytime.
Ashamed to say I haven't tried the Storm, but need to. |

I just caught my oversight in calling Talisker an Islay. Most will catch me on this.
Seems I have been drinking it along with the Islays I like and have now called it one.
It is similar, so I made the mistake. Point being, if you like the Islay style, you will love Talisker. |
