Mi mom has discovered today this bottle deserted in the garret. She wants to drink it right by now, on this Christmas eve.
But I will not allow it, she's a madwoman, for sure!!!
I think it could be expensive & selled by Ebay.
Any expert here in order to clarify its value?
Merry Christmas! |

| is there a label on the neck of the bottle stating it age? perhaps 18 year old? does it have a box? if so and in good condition you may get £160 + at auction or a private sale |

| It says bottled 1995 on the bottle.. That might give the age away !! 🤗🤗 |

18yo sherry wood Macallan from that period, your looking at about £350-£450 at auctions, even with the label in that condition.
Excellent find and most likely a very good whisky in the bottle.
Auctions command fees, often 20% of the sale price. Plus you have to pay delivery and insurance, so at £400 you looking to get about £300 after all said and done.
There is a good market in old (and vintage) Macallan. _________________ "Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whisky is barely enough." |

.....I might add. I wouldn't sell it, it'd be drinking it _________________ "Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whisky is barely enough." |

| It might not have an age statement on the neck label.. Every chance it is a plain seal.. Especially as it does not actually give an age statement on main label.. And it won't effect price as long as it is all intact.. |

I still have a couple of bottles of the Macallan 18 1976 and they have an age statement on the neck label and I had a few in the past and they had a age statement on the neck label. I haven't come across a 1976 without and age statement.
Drink it an enjoy, its Christmas. |

In the neck label: "18 Years Old". And yes, it got its box, but with a lot of marks of humidity both in bottle and label. The bottle is sealed = intact.
Searching the web its price is about 1100 euros from a italian online store. Really inflated?

Yes, over inflated. Foget retail prices for old bottles, they've had to buy them and resell them. It's like the part exchange on your car, it'll always be lower then the price they are selling the same car for at the dealers.
Auction prices are next, and then private sale prices are going to be lower than that. You'll not get £1k from that bottle I'm afraid.
Thing about Macallan is that people collect it and are prepared to pay good money for older examples. Probably £400 at auction but if there is a very interested buyer then it could be quite a bit higher. You can contact auction houses for their valuations too but they'll want the bottle sending as they'll have to check it's not a fake (yes, there are a lot of fake old Macallans out there). _________________ "Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whisky is barely enough." |

I think £300-£400 hmmer price at online auction.
Less the cost of mailing the bottle to the auctioneer, listing fee, hammer commission, etc.
So, you might be looking at a cheque for say £250-£300.
Me personally, I'd open the whisky and enjoy it. After all, it isn't worth a little changing amount. |

| Where are you located? I'm prepared to offer 300 pounds for the bottle. |
