This whisky contains a blend of whisky dating from 1948 and 1961 to commemorate Prince Charles and Princess Diana's wedding.

I have a number of these bottles and looking to offload one or two to a fellow enthusiast. these limited edition malts have and will continue to provide decent returns for investors.

I am open to offers, but looking upwards of £2500. they are retailing at over £3500 in the shops currently.

Condition is immaculate, i can share pics if requested.

Thanks

Rob

Hi Rob, £2500 seems a bit steep, are you aware that at the regular whisky auction sites they very very rarely top £2000 and the normal price is around £1500 give or take a hundred.

a few recent examples

As a fellow enthusiast im afraid to say the £2500 is the retail price and as previously stated you would be lucky to get £1400 in auction after commission.

It is odd how this one isn't worth so much more than the recent royal marriage.

Out of interest how many bottles do you have?

Hi,

thank you both for your comments, interesting to have some input. Perhaps i am being slightly ambitious. however you can see that auction could get close to £2k, with a perfect condition and high fill level.

They are my grandfathers who has 2 cases, bought them when they were first released so he hasn't done too badly for himself! They are all in perfect condition too with most having a high fill level.

thanks,

Rob

Hi Rob, a great buy by your Grandfather, I think they were about £30 a bottle when first released.

An auction house Lacy, Scott & Knight had a few cases for sale just before Christmas all in excellent condition and I know they all sold for £1500 for each bottle.

See link if it works

Regardless it should produce a tidy sum.
