It wouldn't be a new year without a new addition to the Glenmorangie Private Edition range and this year the latest expression to be added to the popular limited release range is Glenmorangie Milsean which is the first Glenmorangie expression to be extra-matured in heavily toasted Portuguese red wine casks.
Bottled at 46% ABV, and non-chill filtered, a limited release although the numbers have not been revealed but I would guess there is enough to go around. RRP £75.99

Very bright candy striped packaging, you wont miss this one on the shelves. I noticed that Jim Murray has reviewed it in his Whisky Bible 2016, he must have been sent a sample last year, he rates it highly giving it 94/100
It sounds good to me also Mac, it will be on my to buy list. |

| A good move by Glenmorangie to send Jim Murray a sample so it would be reviewed in his 2016 Whisky Bible, the PX Edition reviews don't usually appear in the Whisky Bible until almost a year after they are released. With a 94 rating in the latest Whisky Bible I am sure this will sell fast, no doubt I will have a bottle, perhaps more if I like it. |

As per William's information, "Glenmorangie Milsean will be available from specialist whisky shops worldwide, including The Whisky Exchange from 19th January priced at £75.99." _________________ "Always carry a large flagon of whisky in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake."

or from the Glenmorangie online shop too.
It's available to pre-order. _________________ "Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whisky is barely enough." |

| I was going to place an order with TWE but will hang off until they have the brightly packaged Glenmorangie Milsean |

I've ordered two - looking forward to tasting it. Did anyone get a pre-release sample?
Also MoM are restricting to 1 per customer. The MoetHennessey site has no restrictions. |

I tasted the new Glenmorangie Milsean over the weekend and it is a wee sweetie. Another cracking addition to the Glenmorangie Private Edition range. This deliciously candied fruity dram is sure to be a crowd pleaser which I don't think will hang around on the shelves for long. Perhaps I had a bit of a sweet tooth when tasting it but I was certainly in the mood for this wee sweetie. Delicious.
I added my review of it here:

Probably right - the good thing is that in a box like that if it does appear it'll be hard to miss. I am tempted, I do like the Lasanta and Quinta Ruban. |

| Not a fan of big price tags and no age statements but Glenmorangie in my experience don't short change you in quality with there NAS limited releases. William your notes do sound good, you have sold me on this one, a bottle for drinking and one or perhaps more to tuck away if I really like it. |
