With the increasing popularity of American Whiskey there is an emerging trend for Rye Whiskey, Jack Daniel's are now getting on that trending bandwagon with the launch of Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Rye in the US.

I am not a JD fan at all but I found their Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Select quite drinkable, I received it from a well meaning friend as a gift, not as sweet and the extra strength helped boost the pleasure, I am sure the new Rye single barrel will be interesting. I would think it will be a while before any finds its way here though.

This is the only Jack Daniels expression that I'm actively going to consider buying. I too was quite surprised with the single barrel number I was poured at a friends house. I expected to hate it but went in for a second dram!
