Sorry about the unfortunate circumstances that this is being sold under...
This is too rich for my blood, but I thought I'd let you know what you have just in case you didn't know. Port Ellen closed in 1983 and their whiskies are highly collectable, rare and sought after.
Signatory are an Independant bottlers, so it's not an official bottling from the distillery, however they are very highly respected. A 24year old from 1975 like this is likely to be worth in the region of £500 - £600, maybe even more if it went to auction. One I'd love to have but sadly it's out of range I'm prepared to spend on a bottle!
