Seems to have been launched by many online stores today- almost an instant sell out - good value and great provenance - did anyone manage to get a bottle? : Top Malt

Makes me thankful I'm on the rum train at the moment. To put some context around this, I've just bought a 16 year old (tropically aged so it's more akin to a 25 year old), cask strength, limited release vintage Caroni (highly sought after closed distillery)........for £80, and even that is considered steep! Average ratings of these are in the upper 80's and considered serious malternatives by Mr whiskyfun......

.....or you can spend £130 on a 16yr Springbank.

Looks to be sold out everywhere. How does everyone find out about these whiskys, every time I go to buy them they are out of stock

Mailing lists from the usual online shops and basically hammering the sites to see when things come on.....and from kind folk on here.

There are some smaller online shops that don't sell out of stuff quite so quick, they may have some and not post yet, or have their allocation yet, so there may still be some out there.

Had a sample of Caroni 15 Year old - it was fantastic!

It's strange that now it's out of stock on MOM it has a different price...
