My wife has just brought me a bottle home, my first taste of this whisky.
By all accounts it sounds like it is a good whisky and was on offer at just £35 for the bottle.
It doesn't have an age on the bottle however.
Can anybody help me as to the quality of this whisky/distillery and whether it stands up in the Single Malt world? _________________ "No, Try Not! Do or Do Not, there is no try!!" Yoda |

Last year I visited Tullibardine distillery and I had rather comprehensive vertical tasting. I'm sorry to say but 225 was one of the least interesting drams.
If you have opportunity try 20 years old (finished in first fill bourbon barres). |

| I found it fruity, sweet, a little bit of spice, youngish and would rate it 78/100 not worth its price tag. If you like a Sauternes finished whisky take a look at Glenmorangie Nectar D'Or, a few pounds more but higher quality. |

| I found it rather nice, fresh, fruity, and a rather nice sweetness, it is not as old as the Glenmorangie nector d or , probsbly 2-5 years younger depending which version you have.. Yes it is probably a little overpriced but what whidky is not these days.. If you already have the bottle I am sure you will enjoy it .. |
