Have just noticed this program on Islay culture, hence i missed the first 2 episodes. It's called 'S ann an Ile' and is subtitled for those without the Gaelic. The 3rd episode in still available on BBC I-player. There's not much about whisky in it, i assume that was covered earlier but Iain Banks pops up in connection with 'Raw Spirit' and the native Ileach and Bowmore manager Iseabail Nic an t-Sagairt speaks - thought about adding this to the 'women in (!) whisky' thread. We also see the Port Charlotte hotel in connection with it's livel traditonal music.
All in all, it's an interesting insight into today's Islay.

I had kinda noticed this, a very good bit of free marketing.

Yes i had noticed this, very clever marketing. They would have needed some size of advertising budget to buy the exposure they got on the likes of Martin Clunes Islands of Britain. Good on them the small distilleries need all the help they can get to compete with the big boys.
