Here are my taste notes from last night for:
Isle of Arran Single Cask 18 Year, sherry hogshead, 53.7 % abv., 232 bottles worldwide
Color- Orange bronze harvest moon
Nose: Nectarines with stewed peaches and dark stone fruit. Caramelized bananas radiate with sweet candy hues. This nose could be explored for a very long time.
Taste: Full-bodied. Lovely Turkish delight wrapped in chocolate with layers of sherry oak reminiscences.
Finish: Long, cherry blossom chocolate candy with the cherry in the middle, mild spices and a cornucopia of fruit and cocoa notes.
Comments: A complex and well-balanced meaty dram that can satisfy in the glass for an eternity. Perhaps the epitome of a dessert dram.
