Hello I'm looking for a valuation on a Dimple Scots John Haig & co. It's a minature, unopened and still has the copper wiring surrounding the bottle. The base of the bottle reads "Haig 32".
I'll edit my post soon and provide pictures. But if there is any information you can provide with what i can describe in the time being, that would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Josh.
EDIT: Here are the pictures:
Hope these help, not the best quality. |

It is always worth looking over at The Whisky Exchange to see if they have a bottle similar to what you have, they may even be interested in buying it. As you will see at The Whisky Exchange a full size bottle of Haig from the 1940's only fetches £200 at most so i wouldnt think you would get a great deal for a minature but your bottle could be a lot older. Haig started producing Dimple in 1890

Thank you for your reply, I checked that website earlier and mine is alot older.
Me and my brother think its from 1932 or around that time. The labels are a worn dark brown which also look aged. It'll be better when I put the pictures up in the morning.
Thanks again. |

My guess would be it is from around 1940, looks like it there hasnt been much evaporation which a lot of miniatures are prone to so thats good.
Hard to put a value on this, have you tried Bonhams auction or McTears auctioneers they both specialise in whisky and hold a couple of whisky auctions a year. They will know the current market and estimated value better than i could tell you, i wouldnt like to misguide you. I wouldnt think it is worth a great deal but as i say i wouldnt like to misguide you and i may be totally wrong.
