I'm asking about the newer wooden box bottling at 45.7% abv
Thoughts ? It's expensive, but everything I can find about it points to it being damn near perfect. _________________ If Jack Bauer was gay, his name would be Chuck Norris |

| Had the old 48.1%,Highland Park 25 which was outstanding. still have a bottle in the cupboard. I have been told by a source which I trust that the new 45.7% version is just as good. |

| Only ever heard good things about the H/P 25. Some do say the older versions were better but not too sure. Managed to find the 2004 H/P 25 ABV 50.7% that Serge Valentin scored 90/100 so must be damn good, waiting for a good occasion to crack it open!!! |

The new 25 is excellent! Although I haven't tried the old version to compare it with.
One of my biggest regrets is selling my HP 30 at auction _________________ Putting the func in dysfunctional. |

That's the old 48.1% version. I don't actually think HP have ever done the 45.7% version as a miniature (no mention of it on Whiskybase). Both versions must be very similar because Highland Park kept the exact same description and tasting notes on their website when moving from one to the other. Or they were simply too lazy to update it. |

I think it is a good move. Just wonder if the drop in quality (in my opinion) of the 18 will catch up with the 25 in six or seven years. _________________ Putting the func in dysfunctional. |

I have about 2/3 of my Highland 25 left, and I've really enjoyed it. It's the most thus far that I've spent on a bottle. I'm only 2 hours east of you fightingirish if you want to stop by for a taste . |
