One thing I usually do while away on holiday is see what whisky is available, generally it is all the usual suspects but every now and again you unearth some gems, earlier this year it was the Yamasaki Sherry cask I purchased while away in Barcelona.

At the moment I am away in Gran Canaria and have bought a Miyagikyo 15 for €90 and the real show stopper was while my wife and I visited Las Palmas and in a supermarket in the gourmet section they had a Hibiki 30 priced at....€520, when you consider they are around £1600 plus I thought why not.

You really never know what you will find.

Oh lovely stuff torcross. I always look to Germany for bargains, but Spain seem
Like a hidden tressure. In over there in September, so I'll go on a hunt
