Just read the tasting notes, it sounds quite different to the Glenlivet 15 year old I am drinking tonight
Another one I will have to imagine what it tastes like. |

Good news for you if you don't want to spend £20K to taste the new Glenlivet 1966 50 year old, the Glenlivet are offering Guardians of The Glenlivet a chance to taste the new whisky at the Glenlivet distillery in November. They are running a competition for members of their club, Guardians of The Glenlivet, visit the Glenlivet website to enter. _________________ There's no bad whisky. I would love to taste the new Glenlivet 50 so when I received my Guardians of The Glenlivet email announcing a competition to win a taste at the Glenlivet distillery I thought I would give it a go, but then I had a look at the details of the prize of the competition and it looks like the Glenlivet are being a bit tight.
Basically you get return economy travel to the distillery from wherever you are, you get a tour of the distillery, one 25ml taste of the Glenlivet 50, a free lunch then you have to travel home the same day or pay for your own accommodation, surely they could have provided 1 night accommodation and perhaps made the prize for 2 people. It is a long way for most to travel up to the Glenlivet distillery. Personally I would rather they sent me the small sample and they could keep the money they would save on my lunch as clearly they are struggling |
