Have it down to a few......
Bunnhabhain XXV
Highland Park 21
Another bottle of Glenlivet XXV
Macallan Ruby
Macallan Rare Cask
I love to hear thoughts on which and why. Only one I've had or tried was the Glenlivet |

I'm not a big fan of Macallan, but then maybe I haven't tried the right one(s). Glenlivet is usually reliable but if you've already had a bottle I'd try something else unless it was truly outstanding. Never had the HP21 but I believe it's very good.
I'd go for the Bunna if it were me, I'm a big fan |

Bunnahabhain, hands down.
I too am not a fan of Macallan and the HP21 I found a bit disappointed by. The Bunnahabhain is stunning. Alas, not one I'll be having again though given current prices. _________________ "Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whisky is barely enough." |

I was thinking either the Bunnahabhain or Macallan Ruby.
The Ruby just because it is discontinued and it's a now or never kind of thing. |

| The Macallan Ruby is very good and if it is discontinued were you are I would say try it while you can. Bunna 18 will be around for the foreseeable future I would think |

I believe it's discontinued everywhere. What ever stock is left is it. Also, it's the bunnahabhain XXV ( 25) I'm looking at. |

Hard to pass over a bottle of Ruby. It's silly expensive here. I can get the Bunnahabhain 25 for around 24 pounds more than what the Ruby sells for here |

Has Macallan stated this? Just a thought, but often with the rarer malts in distillery core ranges they can go out of stock at times and are listed as discontinued by shops because they cant get any from the producers who are waiting on more stock maturing. I recall Talisker 18 being difficult to get a few years ago due to not enough mature stock to meet demands, it became scarce and even discontinued in some markets.
The Macallan Ruby is still listed on the Macallan UK website and difficult to find in UK shops. |

According to the LCBO dept that controls the ordering it's discontinued. It's even listed as discontinued on the Master of Malt website.

| Yes I had seen that a few shops list it as discontinued, I just find it odd that the Macallan still list it as part of the core range here in the UK and I have heard nothing official to say its gone but rarely does any whisky company announce a whiskys departure. Back to the subject, it is an excellent expression of the Macallan and worth getting if it is discontinued. |

| I'm thinking perhaps the Bunnahabhain XXV or another bottle of the Glenlivet XXV, I thought it was fantastic stuff. It's the best I've had to date. Followed by the Balvenie 15 single barrel. |

I spoke to The Macallan and they have confirmed that The Macallan Ruby has been discontinued, I posted their reply here:

Fightingirish I would be very tempted by the outstanding Glenlivet XXV with the Bunna XXV a close 2nd. _________________ There's no bad whisky. Just good whisky and better whisky. |
