Trip during Islay Festival or after?

Was planning on going next year during feis ile but I'm wondering if going the week after might be a better move. My thinking is that there may still be bottles left and no lineups more accommodation options and just less madness. I'm a whiskey fiend but I'm not super keen on spending the week in lineups and waiting for packed public transport etc. If anyone has been for the fest or just done a complete isla distillery pilgrimage and has any hints tips or insight I would love any and all feedback

The advantage of going during the festival is the special distillery events, tastings and tours.

But accommodation is impossible to find unless you plan on camping, its also a fortune if you do find something.

Go the week after. You may still pick up the special bottles and there will be plenty of tours at the distilleries.
