Ardbeg has announced the forthcoming release of Ardbeg Twenty One, a limited edition which will be available exclusively to Ardbeg Committee members.

This Ardbeg 21 year old was distilled in the mid 1990's, which was a turbulent time in Ardbeg’s history, we have seen very little whisky released which was produced in this era.

Ardbeg Twenty One is non chill-filtered and bottled at 46% ABV, it will be priced at £310 and goes on sale to committee members on the 21st September 2016

The price is no surprise, still tempting as I am an Ardbeg fan. I am sure they will still sell it out no problem

I got an email about this yesterday - there was no mention of the price...

I'll buy one. Or at least try. But I'm a mug and really like my Ardbeg. Can't wait!

I love Ardbeg but I can't afford to spend £310 on a single bottle.

Ordered 2 this morning, the moet hennessy site is so much easier than the way Ardbeg used to do it. Says it won't be delivered until Monday which is a shame. Hope everyone else manages to get one if they want one.

Missed out. Seemed to sell out very quickly as usual.

Too pricey for me - but odd that they let you put it in your bag before telling you it's out of stock!

I have bought one but it has gone to a friend who missed out, he would have payed whatever was necessary at auction to get one.

I want to say it is over priced but to sell out in 38 minutes it probably isn't.

Be interesting to see if a certain someone makes this whisky of the year.

I was too late, I really didn't expect it to sell out so quickly, I wonder how limited it was, anyone heard numbers?

Just over 8000. Casks from 93 and 94 so important for Ardbeg fans.
