| The Glenfarclas £511.19s.0d is a mix of vintages, I have had a bottle, it certainly isn't young and it is a decent Glenfarclas which I am happy to recommend. I haven't tried TWEs Glenfarclas cask strength 15 year old. |

I'd second the family reserve (but have not had the 15 higher ABV). Although at this price range I'd be considering a Glendronach 18 (which is actually 21 years old) if you want an aged sherry monster (the 15 and 21 Glendronachs are the best of the range but either hard to get or outside this price range).
Did anyone mention Glen Marnoch 28? |

Ye was possibly going to go for the family reserve glenfarclas but if there was any better in a similiar price to it then might have a look at them _________________ Jock innes |

I did a Glenfarclas tasting a few weeks ago, I ended up buying a bottle of the £511.19s.
I understand that it contains some very well aged Glenfarclas - as much as 50yo, but it had dropped below the magical 40% ABV - this was then vatted with some younger casks to enable them to call it whisky. It was certainly multi-layered.
For me it was the best dram of the night. However other reasonably priced Glenfarclas you should consider are the 15yo and the 105 both excellent drams in their own right.
As previously mentioned, if sherry is your thing then you should try some GlenDronach too |

| Both are very good IMO, the £511.19s is certainly the more mature and my pick of the 2, having said that The Whisky Exchange 15 cask strength is definitely worth a go. |
