I have reviewed a few more whiskies from Gordon & MacPhail, follow the link to read my full review of each whisky:
Gordon & MacPhail Connoisseurs Choice Glen Spey 2004
Gordon & MacPhail Connoisseurs Choice Glen Spey 2004 was matured in Refill Bourbon Barrels. A charming very enjoyable light bodied expression from a distillery which we see way too little of. It has a lovely touch of vanilla, honey and delicious spices which you would expect to find in Glen Spey.
Gordon & MacPhail Connoisseurs Choice Inchgower 2002
Gordon & MacPhail Connoisseurs Choice Inchgower 2002 was matured in Refill Sherry hogshead barrels. Some very good and quite lively refill sherry casks have been at work here, hard to believe they were not first fill sherry casks, I very much enjoyed this, a delicious sherry rich mature Inchgower. A lovely alternative dram for the Speyside sherry lovers.
Gordon & MacPhail Distillery Labels Strathisla 2005
Gordon & MacPhail Distillery Labels Strathisla 2005 was matured in First Fill Sherry Hogshead casks, it has obviously been delicate creamy sherry casks. Still a good sherried dram if you like some sweet creamy toffee with your whisky.
Gordon & MacPhail Cask Strength Caol Ila 2005
Gordon & MacPhail Cask Strength Caol Ila 2005 was matured in First Fill Sherry Butts. Delicious Caol Ila smoke with just a gentle sherry cask influence, not quite the first fill sherry cask influence I was expecting but a quality dram all the same. _________________ There's no bad whisky. Just good whisky and better whisky. |

| I used to love the distillery bottlings of Caol Ila cask strength, the G&M Caol Ila 2005 sounds worth a go. |

| Bought a bottle of the Inchgower 2002 recently and I agree it was surprisingly good for a malt normally reserved for the Bell's blend. |

I second that - It is a nice dram and quite unique in my opinion. |
