| That's an impressive line-up, the Springbank 12 is one of my favourites. |

I attended this event last night. The only change to the line-up was that the Springbank 12 Cask Strength was replaced by The Glenlivet Nadurra Oloroso, 60.3% abv. A most enjoyable evening as always. My taste notes for the 3 whiskies now appear in the appropriate section of the Forum. _________________ "Always carry a large flagon of whisky in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake."

| Thanks for the reviews Murray. Too bad you didn't get the excellent Springbank 12 but it's not like the Glenlivet Nadurra is a disappointment! I just compared your notes to Serge Valentin's out of curiosity - it seems you have a radically different view of the Glenmorangie Milsean: he gives it 81 points and calls it "some light bourbon from Scotland". |

Alex, that's the twist with whisky; one person may see a metaphoricall rose, the other a weed and I guess that's how people address life in general. Both are entitled to their opinion. By the way, I just noticed Jim Murray describes it as " a beautiful malt which goes out of its way to put the orangey in Glenmorangie" and also gives it 94. _________________ "Always carry a large flagon of whisky in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake."

| Indeed, I went to read Serge's notes because he's not partial to wine-finished whisky (and wine-finished Glenmorangie in particular) so I knew he'd provide a dissenting view! Conversely, he was a bigger fan of the Kilkerran 12 than you were - this is a whisky I'd love to try as well but it always seems to be unavailable whenever I check. |

Great reviews once again Murray, it is a pity you missed out on the Springbank 12, but still a great line up on the night. _________________ There's no bad whisky. Just good whisky and better whisky. |

Very interesting reading... I've tried both and the Kilkerran 12 is right up there and a contender for my whisky of the year, the Milsean did very little for me and usually I do like a Glenmorangie. I always find it fascinating how opinions on the same whiskies can be so varied |
