Remy Cointreau Acquire Westland American Single Malt Whiskey

Rémy Cointreau owners of the Bruichladdich Distillery has once again expanded its single malt whisky portfolio with the acquisition of the Seattle, Washington State based Westland Distillery company for an undisclosed sum. The acquisition of Westland follows Rémy's recent acquisition of the French whisky distiller Domaine des Hautes Glaces.

Hi William. Very interesting brand acquisition. Not available here in Ontario as of yet and may never land here. American single malts may be just too esoteric for our market here.

Murray the whiskey Westland has been turning out has had some very good reviews, it isn't cheap though for a young single malt.

I have had a taste of the Westland Peated, quite sugary sweet, nice touch of vanilla and lightly peated.
