|
|
I'm thinking official bottlings here so either an age statement (12yo, 18yo, ...) or the year distilled/bottled on the label. Are there any distillieries that issue no NAS whiskies at all (at least in living memory)?
I'm thinking Lagavulin might be one (though I do know of at least one distillery-only release of a NAS bottling some years ago)?
Are there any others? |

Balblair.
Only vintage statements on their bottles.
I'd like to say Balvenie too, if you don't count the Tun releases, and I think they contain cask date one them so that may count as an age.....but I'm not 100% sure. _________________ "Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whisky is barely enough." |

| The tun releases are NAS. Also there used to be a Balblair NAS called "Elements" a few years back... |

The Tun releases always used to come with a list of casks included in the vetting and their respective dill dates on them, so you could see the cask types and the ages of each cask quite different than a Glen McPop 3yo vatting with a splash of 8yo, but I see your point.
To my limited knowledge it's Balblair. _________________ "Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whisky is barely enough." |

Knockando is a contender I think.
Doing a bit of further research I wonder about the following (I've not included any silent stills or where the "official" bottling is/was in the Flora and Fauna series).
How about these:
Aberfeldy
Craigellachie
Royal Brackla
Strathisla
Feel free to shoot these down or add others I might have missed. |

| Up until recently Glenfiddich would have been there - which considering the amount they pop out is pretty incredible. Happy to be corrected though - it's been a long week!!! |

It may very well be technically a " no age statement" Whisky, but the Balvenie have made a statement about the age of the Whisky used........
So unlike a reg NAS bottling.....the Balvenie have said just how old the min age is. _________________ If Jack Bauer was gay, his name would be Chuck Norris |
