| What is the forum's experience with these special release bottles? The local Total Wines has dozens of them - blends and single distilleries (popular and rare). Prices start at $100 and go much higher. Are they worth it? |

Battlehill is a range of whiskies from indie bottler Duncan Taylor, what I have had in the past was young, under 10 year old and ok considering its age, I think they have since bottled some older stuff under the Battlehill label. Worth a try if it isn't expensive I would say.
BBR offers a varied range of whiskies, including blends and single malts, like any indie bottler there releases are small batches and can vary in quality but in general my experience of BBR single malts has been good.
I would suggest if there is any particular bottling you fancy then seek out a review on it. |
