I made a fair offer for all of them some weeks back. Clearly they haven't moved since then so I expect the price to be somewhat inflated. |

This is the offer that TheWM made : I'll take all 5 for £350.
That's £70 per bottle. I don't quite know how anyone could say that's a fair price??
I had a look online to see what the cheapest price of these bottles were and then reduced that price by £40 to £110 as the cheapest price I could find was £150.
If you consider what the price of these bottles were when readily available then £110 would seem inflated but now they are rare, like most things that become rare the price rises.
So I suspect most people selling these bottles would want to get the market price. I think I'm asking below market price if I'm honest.
Now some people want a bargain which I can understand but then to argue their case use the "inflated price" argument but I'm sorry but I believe that's not really fair. |

| If you want to piecemeal them out at 'a fair' price then that's your perogative. The fact they've not shifted may seem to indicate you want more than what people are prepared to pay. Put them in an auction, pay the fees etc... or consider a serious offer for them. I've never paid more than £70 for a bottle so, I think this a fair price (it seems that you want retail market prices). |

The price I'm asking for isn't retail price. Once again I checked online and then knocked £40 off.
You may have paid no more than £70 for a bottle but I doubt you will get a bottle for that price now or even within the last couple of months.
£70 is certainly not a fair price right now and just because you may have paid that in the past doesn't mean that's what they are worth now. |

The 15yo revival is good but its not as good as people are putting the prices up to. You've got to bear in mind this retailed for around £35-£40. Depending on the bottling year it could be up to a 21yo whisky, also bear in mind the 18yo bottles at the moment is minimum of 21 years old due to Glendronachs closure and retails for about £80.
Personally, add in the rarety value, id say an offer at no more than £100 is fair and I'd be expecting a bulk discount for all 5 in a job lot, so around the £80 a bottle mark.
If you bought at the retail price then that's still a £200 profit for doing nothing other than sitting on some bottles. I think that's fair and everyone wins.

The retail price was £35-£40 when the whisky was first released for sure but when it started to win awards the later retail price was £55-£60. So suggesting the retail price was £35-£40 is not quite accurate.
The last retail price when the whisky was available on the main online retailers such as masterofmalt and thewhiskyexchange was £55-£60.
The retail price now seems to be £150-£160.
So I agree with opelfruit that £100-£110 seems the be a very fair price per bottle. |

| These bottles are regularly going for around the £85 mark on auction sites. Add the costs and your around the £100 mark.. I'd say selling individually £100 is a fair price but as a bulk sale I can see where a little discount would be appreciated.. |
