A friend bought me a bottle of Bruichladdich Islay Barley whisky. I'm finding it quite 'fearsome' and I just wondered if a 50% whisky should be approached differently to a regular bottle? I'm pretty new to single malts and I'd usually only use a few drops of water if any.
Bruichladdich Islay Barley being 50% ABV and being a relatively young whisky can seem a powerful dram, try an extra few drops of water to bring it down to a strength where you can appreciate it, just add a drop at a time to you get to a level you like.
