Hiya
Looking at investing in a bottle of this rare Ardbeg. Seen it for £900 from a retailer. However saw in the auction in December 2016 went for £475.
Any thoughts please?

Keep in mind the price you will pay at auction or in a private sale is often half of what you may pay from a whisky shop. Shops charge VAT and they also have to make a profit which is sometimes quite a large profit.
Ardbeg is always a good investment but unless you pick up the bottle from a shop when it is first released then you are better trying to get hold of a bottle at auction or in a private sale. |

| Thanks Crane. I was kinda thinking along those lines. But is a long term investment not just a quick flip. Probably 10-15yr. |
