As i am not really a collector I have a self imposed limit of 50 bottles give or take 1 or 2, but i usually stick to it.

It would take me a while to type out what i have with my typing skills which is just over 100 bottles at the moment. I do intend to drink them all eventually, I never set out to be a collector but it is starting to look like i am with the amount i am accumulating.

Hi JAB
You seem to have a taste for Morrison Bowmore whiskies (Bowmore, Auchentoshan, Glen Garioch). I just picked up a bottle of the Bowmore Enigma the other week, havent opened it yet, just got it when i had the chance as they only appear to sell this one in airports.

Now that is a handy contact to have. I will just have to imagine what the Black Bowmore is like unless i get lucky in the lottery.

mmm the Archive Tasting at Auchentoshan does look tempting, this is what there website says about it | Quote: | with IAIN MCCALLUM in the BLENDER'S ROOM
from 11:30 - 12:30 and 14:30 - 15:30 Ticket price £100
As part of the events programme, Auchentoshan and Morrison Bowmore Distillers are opening their whisky archives. Festival goers and whisky lovers alike will be able to sample two of the very best archive whiskies from Bowmore; Black Bowmore 1964 and White Bowmore 1964.
In addition, the truly classic 1957 Auchentoshan with its incredibly smooth palette and the Glen Garioch 1958 will also be available for tasting. These whiskies are fantastic examples of the world famous Islay malts, Lowland triple distilled whiskies, and Highland malts each distilled for over 40 years to reach their optimal flavour.
| It isnt clear to me if you get to taste all the whiskies mentioned for the £100 ticket or just the White Bowmore and Black Bowmore, if you do get to taste all of them above then it is a rare chance to do so. Still sounds a great day out.

I will still be off on my hols on the 29th but it sounds like a good wee event. I had a young 7 year old Bowmore from Douglas Laing earlier this year which was very good for its young age, i was surprised how good it was. But i must say i have never had a poor whisky from Douglas Laing, i do rate their bottles highly.
