Building work has now begun on the new Glenmorangie whisky bottling plant in the Lothians.
Glenmorangie is setting up the bottling depot and offices on a 12 acre site at Livingston's Alba Campus, with work expected to be complete in the middle of 2010.
The site is part of a wider £45 million investment programme by the whisky giant, which is also on the hunt for a new headquarters in Edinburgh.
The office building at Livingston will take up 2,000 square metres on the site, while the production facility - which comprises two manufacturing halls - will be 10,000 sq m.
Structural and civil engineers Blyth and Blyth and main contractor Kier Scotland are carrying out the project. The site was chosen for its proximity to The Glenmorangie Company's current bottling facility in Broxburn and for its excellent environment, transport links and amenities.
Paul Neep, chief executive of The Glenmorangie Company, commented: "This is an exciting time for The Glenmorangie Company as we focus on further developing the Glenmorangie and Ardbeg brands."
