Nose
That is very different to most blends or malts its like 2 different profiles at once, one is fruity like peach, mango & pineapple and then there is and industrial , metallic like smell that is actually quite nice and lances the sweet notes. I also detect that old , faint, paraffin, chemically smell like garage rags, I really like the nose.Â
Taste
The metallic notes are on the palate with some bitter yellow plum, a little peach and some dry wafer notes. After a while the palate thins out a bit and there is some sweet spice which gives it a little kick
Finish
Medium and there is a lingering bitter/sweet taste that fades slowly
Comments
Nice enough and worth buying at auction but I have seen these go for £150, not sure if that is value but for the right price it is worth a punt. _________________ Pour me a glass please. |
