|

Hello All,
I am new to the forum but not to whisky. I have been enjoying good whisky for over 30 years and continue to learn and appreciate more about this great spirit all the time. I have been lurking on this forum for a while and have learned some things and enjoyed the discussions. I hope I will be able to contribute to the discussions going forward.
I'm also hoping that you all may be able to help with this question:
I have a bottle of the Laphroaig 15 yo 200 anniversary that I bought when it was first released. I was in the same shop today and noticed that they still had two bottles left on the shelf so I bought them. When I got home I noticed that the bottle I bought previously had a green capsule and the ones that I just bought have white capsules.
Most of the pictures I have seen have the green capsule although I did see a few pictures on the web with the white capsule. All my bottles were purchased from the same local specialist shop.
Can someone please tell me if the bottles with the white foil capsules are authentic?
Thanks! |

| Welcome to the forum Corry, I have 2 bottles both with green capsules, I hadn't seen the white until I read your post. I am sure if you contact Laphroaig via their website they would quickly verify whether there was also a white capsule |

Thanks Grant!
I was working on my mobile for the last couple of days and could not get to the contact page on Laphroaig. Kind of challenged on the darn mobile when searching some web pages. I'm back at my computer and just sent an email off to them. We'll see what they have to say. |

| Didn't the original laphroaig 15 have a white cap, not sure if the 200th anniversary had though, I have only come across the green cap |

| The cairdeas bottles from the 200th anniversary had white caps and - As previously mentioned- older 15yro bottles had white. But I thought all of the 15yro 200ths were green too. |

| Just wanted to let you all know that I didn't forget about you. I emailed Laphroaig this past Monday and have not heard anything back yet. I did find some references and pictures on whiskybase of the 15 yo 200th Anniversary with the white foil capsule. |
